Police arrest wanted Kalaheo man | Crime
PO'IPŪ – Police arrested a wanted Kalāheo man at the Kukui‘ula Village shopping center last week Friday.
Joshua Licke, age 20, was arrested on two active bench warrants and two second degree theft charges.
On Friday, April 13, police responded to a disturbance call at the shopping center in Po'ipū. Upon their arrival, officers located Licke, who was wanted on two active bench warrants totaling $5,900.
The suspect attempted to flee on foot and a chase through neighboring properties ensued. Licke was arrested following a two-hour pursuit which included several officers and a county park ranger.
Licke made his initial court appearance Monday, April 16, and is currently being held at the Kaua'i Community Correctional facility for his outstanding warrants relating to failing to appear for arraignment on a Criminal Contempt of Court, and for a non-appearance and non-compliance to substance abuse evaluation order.
The case involving the two second degree theft charges remains under investigation.
