LĪHU‘E – County officials announced today that job applications are now available for various positions in the Summer Enrichment Program.
High school or college students ages 16 years or older can apply for clerical and recreation aide positions.
Supervisory and pool lifeguard positions are open to qualified college students and adults including: program coordinators; site managers; and teachers.
Applications can be filled out and submitted online or downloaded from the county’s website, www.kauai.gov/parks.
Applications can also be picked up at the main office of the Department of Parks and Recreation, which is located at the Līhu'e Civic Center, Mo‘ikeha Building, suite 105.
The deadline to apply is Friday, April 20.
Those selected for employment will be required to pass a drug-screening test and successfully complete a fingerprinting and/or a background check.
Employment in the Summer Enrichment Program will run for approximately 6-1/2 weeks, from June 6 to July 20, except for pool lifeguards, whose employment will run from June 5 to July 31.
